RDHAP 11; Alzheimer's Disease by Professor Fink
In this short video lecture Professor Fink describes types of Dementia, including Alzheimer's Disease, Vascular Dementia & Fronto-Temporal ("executive function") Dementia. The use of Acetylcholinesterase Inhibitors (such as donepezil; Aricept) and Glutamate Blockers (such as memantine; Namendal) are described. Reference is also made to the use of Sedative-Antianxiety Drugs, Antidepressants and Antipsychotics to manage various symptoms of Dementia. Oral Health Factors are also presented.
NOTE: Drugs that block the action of Glutamate at NMDA Receptors (such memantine; Namendal), reduce the influx of Ca+2 into neurons, thus decreasing "exotoxicity" of neurons in the Brain.

Prof: thanķ you for the way you exaplain the anatomy, prof you tell me the best book i can read about anatomy
Thanks dr you make easy for us ❤❤
❤❤
thanks
I was your student years ago applying to nursing school! Years later still listening to you and i'm in CRNA school!!!
Damn this video was really good!
In iraq with you like a dental student your lecturer is verey useful I wish your my dr 😢 beast you are ❤❤❤
My writing is wrong 😅
You are the best prof I have ever known! I appreciate you posted those lectures. You explained those subjects so well. Although English is my second language, I learned a lot from your videos. Thank you, Prof Fink!
This isn't an anatomy lesson. IT S ART
First time I'm seeing this guy to prep for my undergrad physiology next semester and oh my gosh its been a great video! Def will be watching more and sharing with other friends too lol
i think it has been discovered that we can also absorb pepitides. What do you think professor? it could be possible? thanks for the lectures
my professor supplied this as material and i am pleasantly amazed and impressed by this lecture. This is very rare to find in university today.
Greetings professor My question is; why is it that the WBCS donot attack the foetus despite not having the same recognition site as that of the mother?
Omg, You are awesome ❤, I’m Anne from Gaza actually I got a fully funded scholarship from Algeria to study medicine but until now I can’t travel bcs of the war so I decided to learn medicine by my own self .First I watch videos in English then I watch videos in French
Professor, your lectures are a great blessing, thank you so much for having created them and for sharing your amazing knowledge and talent to explain, it's mind blowing. I wish you and your familiy all the best things
Wow just amazing
Thanks for all professor.
Hey Prof. Fink, I really enjoy watching your videos. I have to ask.. because my curiosity is getting the best of me..but, what is the "lottery?" I'm assuming it could be related to tardiness? 🤪 Thanks for posting your lectures!
Best prof
Horses are indigenous to the "new world" (paleontologists have found fossils), they simply went east or were driven to extinction with the original indigenous human introduction to the "new world" and then later REintroduced by the Spanish.
This class is tuff. Physiology is incredible but tuff. Thanks 👍
That is great..but the teres major is not a rotatir cuff muscle
Wow 😊detailed
Learning with professor Fink is the best thing for me❤
It would be awesome if you did an updated nutrition lecture because I've noticed that some comments are a bit dated in comparison to the current literature on polyunsaturated and saturated fats. Very helpful videos though, thanks for making them available. I just want to make sure I'm studying accurate materials for my classes in 2024.
cani i still use these lectures or now they are too old? is physiology changed in these ten years?
ALL the lectures are still relevant. Any changes in knowledge are at the molecular level.
@@professorfink Thanks professor, one of the best i know on youtube
Thanks professor Fink
Good lecture
Thank you so much professor Fink. A quick question : since athletes experience all the 3 Fs and/or Es during their carriere and are generally overall healthy, why is it that ordinary people who have a stressful lifestyle, jobs, environment, etc, and so experience the same Fs and Es on the long term, end up sick ?
Sir, is it really correct to say that a nerve cell, nerve fibre and neuron are the same thing? Isn't a nerve fibre the axon which is merely a part of a neuron. Like calling the cats tail a cat, but it's merely the tail of the cat. Honestly asking because my teacher scolded me for conflating them today.
"nerve fiber" could refer to an axon OR a dendrite or to the entire neuron. For example: the "nerve fibers" of the pyramidal (corticospinal) tract are axons. HOWEVER, the "nerve fibers" of the Dorsal (Posterior) White Column Tract are dendrites.
@@professorfink Thank you sir
Ar just enjoyed the the heart conduction system
Thank youu 💓
This is absolutely beautiful understanding lectures
Soon utube will run this line as it streams ads. “Video will play tomorrow “
Awesome
Thank you so much.
is anatomy completed in this playlist?
Professor Fink your website is not working anymore. Your lectures are amazing ! I am a nursing student at West Coast University in Los Angeles. Our teachers there are so bad that we learn from RUclips. I think that all WCU students can really benefit from your lecture materials.
You can still access my "old" web-site using this LINK: professorfink.hstn.me/?i=1
@@professorfink I see. I clicked on the link that was under your RUclips link.
@@professorfink Professor Fink, I just bought your Pharmacology bundle,... these materials look very interesting. My summer vacation will be spent on your lecture :)) Thank you Professor Fink !
I wanted to remind you that I have all my video lectures listed by Course at this LINK: www.youtube.com/@professorfink/playlists Good Luck!
hey, I really like your profile picture and if you let me, I would make such an amazing mural out of it! If you don’t mind one of your post could be my inspiring muse for an art project i’m working on for a client. You will totally get paid for it as well as a bonus also get credits.
Hello sir,Can you please explain if temperature regulation is a negative feedback mechanism or is it a feedforward mechanism..confused a lot
Temperature Regulation is a "classic" example of "Negative Feedback" Control.
Thank you sir!
I was confused nd i don't know what to do but suddenly i got your lecture thanks a lot sir 😊
I passed my anatomy and physiology with this lecture. Thanks
God bless you sir
This is amazing, From 11 years ago and it's still helping people.
Steve Jobs of Histology thank you sir.
You are the best.
